*I don't advise that anyone change their diet this drastically without supervision. My doctors are aware of what I am doing and I can call them at any time. Both my roommates are aware of what I am doing and what to do in case of emergency situations.*
While changing your diet is great, I will say that doing it purely by yourself is a definite risk, and it takes a lot of time. While I am in charge of my diet, my doctors still are there if I need guidance.
Anyway!!!! Now that that is out of the way, my second soldier wrote me an email yesterday! I am very excited to write the next round of letters and will probably send some silly crayon drawings of something amazing (unicorns maybe?).
Life is beautiful. Broccoli and Kale are heavenly!
Hey Jen! I think what you are doing is so incredible! It's it's so great that you are writing it down and sharing with people. I have to tell you a story about one of my sorority sisters from college. Last year, around august she decided that enough was enough that she didn't want to be the almost 400lb woman she was and so she started watching her diet and exercising. But the key point is that every monday she posted on facebook her weight loss or gain and then told us how she felt about it and her progress or lack thereof. It's been about 15 months now and she's lost almost 100lbs. I really believe that having the support of her friends on Facebook and also just writing her feelings about herself (she is a writer) is what really helped her stay on track. Anyway, that was just a round about way of me telling you how awesome you are!
