Human Anatomy and Physiology

I had a very productive day, but didn't do most of the things I wanted to. I had plans to clean the entire apartment, write my letters to my soldiers, and go to the farmer's market. I did go to the farmer's market and have discovered the wonder of Jerusalem Artichokes... amazing!!! I can eat them like apples. They are said to be really good for Diabetics. I also got some of the most amazing apples... But this is not about the amazing food I got at the market, but rather about what happened after the market.

Since they didn't have a lot of fresh greens (kale) at the market I decided to go out again to my organic grocery store. As I was making sure I had my keys I heard the door close... I had locked myself out. Things don't always go the way we plan and I definitely was not planning on being locked out. To make the best out of my situation I changed my plans to head over to the bookstore to read until Becca got off work.

I had an idea of what I wanted to read at the store, but somehow found myself staring at the medical section. Of the many section they had, the one that caught my attention was the section that had a lack of opinion... the text books on Anatomy and Physiology. After standing and skimming through almost every book in this section I decided to buy one of the text booked "Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology" and its workbook. I also bought two journals to take notes in (I've never been a huge fan of taking notes on the computer).

So on my plate of things I am doing I have my music/singing, work, raw food (this blog), and now my medical studies. I don't necessarily want to be a doctor, but I do want to be informed. I want to know the medical speak so that when I make decisions I will be as informed as possible. I am very excited.

A part of me thinks that I was suppose to lock myself out of my apartment. I created that situation for myself and I made the best of it. Let the studies begin!
