We had a really great time. We agreed we would tell each other if one of us was feeling tired or needed anything. This agreement was made because we both know that we don't like to "bother" people with our problems. It took us an hour of walking on the plowed road, occasionally getting out of the way for cars and taxis without snow tired, and sometimes walking through 2-3 feet of snow, to get home. We laughed and chatted pretty much the entire way home.
I am really glad we had our adventure. And I am happy to report that I had no loss of energy from juice feasting. In fact, it had been very easy and energy filled because of the juice feast.
Then I realized that I don't have my fresh veggies at home to make my juice for the next day. The only thing I had at home were the lemons, cayenne pepper, and Agave that I had been using in the mornings to wake up. Well, funny enough because those are exactly the kind of things that you use on, what most people call, "The Master Cleanse". So for today I am going to do lots and lots of water drinking, with lemon juice, agave, and cayenne.
Here are a couple of things I have noticed in 4 day of juice feasting:
-My blood sugar only goes up with apples, and I have become very very sensitive to insulin... to a point were I got by on 3 units of Aprida(short acting insulin) for the whole day, when before I used to take 50 units Lantus and between 30-50 Aprida... and my blood sugar was out of control.
-Since using shampoo that doesn't have Sulfate in it (Sulfate causes your hair to dry out, which is why so many people feel they need to wash their hair every day otherwise it gets oily) my hair has gotten a bit more oily, but feels amazingly healthy. I think my hair is going through this breakup with Sulfate, while I break up with processed food.
-My ankles are actually really skinny! I looked down at them today in the shower and realized that my ankles have been swollen for quite some time.
-The discoloration on my feet is going away. I had this discoloration, due to lack of oxygen getting to my feet, begin about a year and a half ago. It is still there, but fading rapidly. I am very happy about this!
I feel amazing!
